OFF-TOPIC: In my dreams…

So I’m reading a loony conservative psychologist’s blog and I see this link about a Florida teacher having sex with a 14 yr old. Being a standard British pervert I click over. If you’re not a pervert like me you can ignore it (but I know 90% will click over). And holy mackrel! I know she’s nuts, stupid and what she did was wrong, blah, blah, blah. But if I was 14 (or for that matter any age) and something that attractive ever offered me the option, well I wouldn’t want her to be sent to jail—that’s for sure!

OK, the rest of you can all go back to reality now.

  1. What are you guys talking about?! Guys, you don’t have to overthink this one.
Mat’s point is easy…she’s hot. Compared to her, I had crushes on some ugly teacher when I was 14.

  2. Pete, no need to change health care to sex. If you have something to contribute, besides just insults, please feel free to do so.
I’m sure you could come up with some good points if you put some effort into it. Most Americans have employer-based insurance that they lose if they become too sick to work anymore. How would you improve the system Pete? Please try and stay on on topic, this is the Health Care Blog. I’m sure you will have good ideas.

  3. Sorry Pete,
So many women have died of cancer in the last 20 years it’s hard to keep them all straight. Gilda may have died from ovarian cancer. I know with one of my clients it took her four years to die with ovarian cancer. COBRA’s 18 months would of been too short for my own Mother-in-law too. It took her 24 months to die with cancer at 64 years of age.
Please come back Pete and share your knowledge. The only one I know who has bleeding eyes is my Chinese sister-in-law. But you probably know that, right Pete?

  4. Pete,
I have said that when an employee becomes so sick that they cannot work 30 hours a week, their employers put the sick employee to a short COBRA for insurance termination. Also, I have said that terminating a young woman’s insurance when she is fighting cancer is deadly. You can suggest there is no point for me to say this but I submit that your comments are just an uninformed opinion.
I wonder if Steve Martin would prefer America’s sick women to have their health insurance terminated when they are diagnosed with breast cancer, like Gilda Radner had and died of at 42 years of age. What say you Pete? Now if you do have a comment on health insurance in America Pete, whip it out. I can hardly wait.

  5. Advice to Ron Greiner from Steve Martin:
“You know when you’re telling these little stories? Here’s a good idea: have a point. It makes it so much more interesting for the listener!”
I just want my eyes to stop bleeding after reading your half-baked views on healthcare and PBMs, buddy.
    All my Best!

  6. We are a bit stricter in Tampa Bay than you Matthew. Sure we have some pretty little women here. However, there is not such thing as a “conservative Mental Health professional”, period.
Tampa Bay, even our sexual preditors may be beautiful. No State Income Tax!!! Property values up 20% per year, no bubble here. Unemployment 3.5%, unlike Europe and Michigan, darn Gov Granholm (D-MI). Plus, in Tampa Gov Jeb Bush said, “Floridians will be wise with their HSA balances.” When Orlando get’s their Pro Football team, Florida will then have 4.
Gov. Jeb Bush has the power to stay her probation, will he? Trust me, Jeb will error on the side of life.
I say, go TaxFree where the TampaPalmTrees sway, http://www.save101.com
