Today on Health in 2 Point 00, Noom launches a mental health offering, Noom Mood, Headspace partners with Waze to offer meditation while you drive, and we have one for the Press Release Hall of Fame where Dario Health announces a major partnership with a major national health plan— but doesn’t say who it is. We have some massive deals on Episode 235: Walgreens launches Walgreens Health, acquires a controlling stake of VillageMD, AND acquires a majority stake of CareCentrix; Intelerad acquires Ambra Health for $250 million; Mindbody acquires ClassPass; and Sprinter Health gets $33 million – even though their business model makes no sense. —Matthew Holt

Today on Health in 2 Point 00, the word is SHEDLOAD. On Episode 235, Jess and I talk about the scoop on an M&A and shedloads more money in today’s health tech funding climate. First up, Lark gets $100 million, bringing its total to $185 million. How much more money can we throw at a chronic condition management platform? Next, Scottish remote patient monitoring company Current Health gets acquired by Best Buy. TrialSpark raises $156 million, working on developing drugs via their clinical trials software, Twin Health raises $140 million to run clinical trials in silico in “digital twins,” and virtual care GI company Oshi Health gets $23 million. —Matthew Holt

#Healthin2Point00, Episode 233 | Another $2B in deals, including Devoted’s whopping valuation

Today on Health in 2 Point 00, we’re thinking about changing our name to Health in 2 Billion 00. Devoted Health confirmed its $11 billion valuation, bumping it to $12 billion after you count the additional $1.2 billion coming in. Now onto the other 2 billion in deals, BetterUp raises $300 million in a Series C, bringing their total to $569.8 million for performance coaching and resilience training. Honor is growing fast – it raises $370 million ($300M of that is debt), bringing their total to $625M. Elemy, formerly called Sprout, raises $219 million, for children’s behavioral health. Finally, MindMaze raises $125 million, bringing their total to $235 million, working on gamifying digital neurotherapeutics. —Matthew Holt

On Episode 232, Jess asks me about more deals including Stellar Health raising $60 million, Cue Health going public (and stealing the HLTH ticket), and eVisit raising $45 million for its telehealth solution. It’s M&A day here on Health in 2 Point 00! On Episode 229, Jess and I chat about the big news that Headspace and Ginger are merging to create Headspace Health (for more deets tune into Jess’s interview on WTF Health here). Next up, Connect America buys remote patient monitoring platform 100Plus. Finally, AllStripes raises $50 million in a Series B, bringing their total up to $67 million – this is a rare disease play for clinical trial recruiting. —Matthew Holt

Today on Health in 2 Point 00, we have more deals for you! First up, DomaniRx: Anthem, Humana, and a software company SS&C are teaming up to launch a PBM. Connections Health Solutions raises $30 million working on comprehensive behavioral health care, and Veda Data Solutions raises $45 million, bringing their total to $52.2 million, applying AI to provider data. Finally, Medicare navigation platform Connie Health raises $13 million, bringing their total to $16 million. —Matthew Holt

Today on Health in 2 Point 00, we have a deal so big it’s brought me out of vacation just for this episode! Amwell acquires not one, but TWO companies – DTx mental health company SilverCloud Health and chatbot company Conversa Health for a combined $320 million. In other news, mental health company Sondermind raises $150 million, bringing their total to $188 million, and femtech company Elvie raises $80 million, bringing their total to $133.9 million. —Matthew Holt

Today on Health in 2 Point 00, Jess and I chat about the staggering medical debt in this country before diving into some more health tech deals. First up on Episode 224, personal health record company b.well Connected Health raises $32 million, bringing their total to $57 million. Next, Quit Genius raises $64 million in a Series C, bringing the digital addiction clinic’s total to $78.6 million, and Swedish telehealth company Doktor.se raises €29.5 million – there are some interesting investors in this one. Sweetch, a Bayer G4A company, raises $20 million for its behavior change app and Kno 2 raises $15 million in a Series A in yet another interoperability play. Finally, Healthify.Me raises $75 million, bringing its total to $100 million – this is like Noom plus exercise in India. —Matthew Holt
