Well he did mention incentives, even though me and one of the smartest guys I know (Kim Slocum) both agreed that the evidence that he was seeing of lots of activity moving to his models, was largely fictional. WHAT PROF. PORTER ACTUALLY SAYS
High levels of performance. Period. Quit supporting the same old “good enough.”
What is wrong with that? Is continuing chronic complaining, just easier? Hardly inspiring.
Dr. Porter seems to forget “you get what you pay or are willing to pay for.” If you want measurable outcomes, pay for them, if you want fragmented care keep paying by diagnosis and cpt codes. Only independently wealthy providers can function in Porter’s fantansy reform.
